Inverting a selection

If you have a large area to select, using Invert can save you time and make it easier to make your selection.


Inverting a selection in Sketchbook Pro for desktop

  1. In the toolbar, tap Select to access an assortment of Selection tools.

  2. Once a selection is made, tap Invert Invert
  3. Use Add To icon in the Windows 10 version of Sketchbook and Remove icon from the Selection tools in the Windows 10 version of Sketchbook to modify your selection
  4. When you are done with the selection, Tap Tap this to exit the Selection mode in the Windows 10 version of Sketchbook to exit the selection tool



Inverting a selection in Sketchbook for mobile devices


  1. Make your selection‍
    • On a handheld device, tap Tools icon in the mobile version of Sketchbook, then Select icon and select a tool from the Selection toolbar
    • On a tablet, tap Select icon and select a tool from the Selection toolbar.
  2. Tap Invert icon Invert to switch the selection. The current unselected content will become the selection, once you’ve tapped Invert. Use this when it’s easier to select what you don’t want.
